Precautions

Babchi oil should not be used undiluted and in high doses; otherwise, it may harm your skin badly and also cause skin irritation or burning sensation. So, we recommend you to use it with coconut oil or sesame oil or with moisturizing lotion as per below mentioned quantities and do not exceed the recommended dosage.

Directions for Use

For External Use Only

  • As babchi oil supplied by our company is pure, quite strong and may lead to blister formation in sensitive individuals.
  • Take one teaspoon of coconut oil and add 2-3 drops of Babchi oil and apply it on the affected area. We recommend the below mentioned patch test before applying on affected area for your safety.
  • If you use one drop of babchi oil, then add 10 drops of coconut oil. Do not exceed the recommended dosage otherwise it will harm your skin.
  • If you are using it for the first time it may not be suitable for your skin. So before application apply a smaller amount of diluted oil on your arm or leg and observe it for the next 5 minutes. If no negative reaction is observed, then you can use it on the required area. Otherwise use 8-10 parts of coconut oil and repeat the same or consult your healthcare provider.
  • Mild exposure to sun is recommended by some physicians in some books after applying this oil. But we do not recommend going out in the sun after applying oil on sensitive individuals. As it may cause irritation and more redness at required sites.
  • Minor Redness, irritation at the site where the oil is applied, is a normal process showing that the oil is affecting.
  • Inflammation, irritation, blisters, rashes may occur due to the oil’s properties. Always dilute it with coconut oil before application.
  • Keep hands away from the eyes until you have properly rinsed off hands with soap and water. Keep away from the reach of children. Store in a cool dry place with a tightly closed lid to avoid moisture. No refrigeration needed.

Patch Test

It is important to perform a patch test before using babchi oil on the skin to avoid any allergic reactions. First, apply 1/10th of one drop of the above mentioned mixing with coconut oil daily to the sole of your feet for at least one week to check for any irritation or reaction. If no adverse reaction occurs, apply 1/10th of one drop to the back of your hand (dorsum) continuously for 3-4 weeks. If the area remains normal and no blisters form, start applying 1/10th of one drop of this oil mixture to the affected part for 2-3 weeks as people with sensitive skin can check if this oil is causing any irritation, blisters or reaction because mostly people do not know if their skin is sensitive to this oil or not. So after performing all above tests it can be used as directed or advised by your health care provider in negligible quantity (less than one small drop).

Safety Warning

Do not exceed recommended dose. Be very careful with mentioned dosage. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children and individual with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this. If you are allergic to the babchi oil, immediately discontinue to use the product and consult your Health Care Practitioner without any delay. Do not use the oil at sensitive areas of your skin.

Note

Psoralen present in Babchi oil can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight, leading to sunburn and other adverse effects if not used properly. It is recommended to do a patch test before using Babchi oil topically and to avoid sun exposure or cover the skin properly after application.
