Chemical Composition
Alkaloids, including trigonelline, gentianine and carpaine, fiber, 4-hydroxyisoleucine and fenugreekine, a component that may have hypoglycemic activity. Other constituents of fenugreek include mucilage, bitter fixed oil, volatile oil, and the alkaloids choline and trigonelline.
